“I first noticed my son had a very flat head at the back, when he was about 3 or 4 weeks old but assumed it would rectify itself in time. However, as he began to embrace his sleep, which was a total relief after several weeks of broken sleep (!), I realised his head was getting much flatter, to the point at 12 weeks where he began to look quite ‘deformed’. I mentally started taking note of other children’s heads and realised that Elliot’s was much flatter and getting worse, due to his love of his bed. I tried to encourage him to sleep on his side but it made no difference and when I went to my GP, he said it would improve with time. It hadn’t and wasn’t so when Elliot was 4 months old, I enquired about the ‘helmet’ via an acquaintance whose daughter had worn one. She raved about the LOCband and suggested I look at their website, where I discovered that there was a clinic in Southampton. And that is where I met Lucy, who was so knowledgeable and professional whilst being empathetic and supportive. We began the treatment in March 2013 and during the first few weeks, the improvement was very noticeable and as we continued, it became even more pronounced. We could have completed the treatment in August but I wanted to continue with it to avoid any regression and so actually stopped it in November. I am delighted with the result as Elliot now has a very ‘normal’ looking head shape and now is almost as attractive from the back as he is from the front!”

Fantastic :-) Highly recommend Lucy in Southampton. There was no pressure at all on our 1st appointment and Lucy is so knowledgeable and offered lots of advise. We knew we wanted to go ahead and Zac was able to be scanned there and then. He's been in his LOC band for almost 2 weeks and he's not bothered at all. The prospect of putting our baby in a helmet was scary and we were very nervous but the whole process has been so easy, for us and Zac and we are already seeing a change. :-) so glad LOC is out there!

Just a quick note to say thank you for your efforts, especially with a wriggly baby/toddler. It will make such a difference to Ava when she is older. Thanks again
Dear Lucy, Thank you so much for everything you have done to help correct Blake's head. Best wishes
